What hardwood species does GeoJoy export?

We export a range of premium Ghanaian hardwood species, including sapele, mahogany, teak, odum, and wawa. Our catalogue on the Products page shows current availability with grades and dimensions; if a species you need is not listed, contact us and we will check mill availability.

Is your timber legally and sustainably sourced?

Yes. Every log is harvested under a licensed Ghana Forestry Commission concession, and we maintain chain-of-custody records on every shipment. We are also building toward FSC certification through our responsible-sourcing program.

Can I request specific dimensions, grades, or custom cuts?

Absolutely. We regularly mill to buyer specifications. Submit a quote request with the species, dimensions, grade, and volume you need, and our team will confirm feasibility and lead times within 24 hours.

Orders & Quotations

Request a Quote

How do I request a quotation?

Use the Request a Quote form on the website or email us directly. Share the species, dimensions, grade, and quantity, and you will receive a detailed quotation with pricing, specifications, and estimated timelines within 24 hours, Monday to Saturday.

Is there a minimum order quantity?

Minimums depend on the species and shipping route. We are flexible for repeat buyers and trials, so share your target volume and our team will advise on the most economical option.

How long does an order take from confirmation to shipment?

Lead times depend on species availability, drying schedule, and destination. Kiln-dried stock can usually ship within 2–4 weeks of contract, while fresh milling is typically 4–8 weeks. Your quotation will always state a firm estimated timeline.

Shipping & Documentation

Which Incoterms do you support?

We ship primarily FOB Tema Port, Ghana, and can arrange CIF to many destinations. Choose the terms that fit your supply chain and we will handle the rest — including container loading and port logistics.

What export documentation do you provide with each shipment?

Every shipment includes a commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, phytosanitary certificate, certificate of origin, and chain-of-custody records confirming legal sourcing.

Can I inspect the timber before it ships?

Yes. We welcome in-person mill visits and offer live video walkthroughs of stock before you finalize your order. Inspection reports can be arranged on request.

Quality & Certification

How is your timber graded?

Lumber is kiln-dried and graded against international export standards, then inspected for defects before packing. Each shipment is traceable back to its licensed source concession.

Do you hold FSC or PEFC certification?

We operate an FSC-Ready Sourcing Program and partner with PEFC-linked chain-of-custody frameworks. If a certification is mandatory for your market, tell us in advance and we will advise on how we can comply.

What moisture content should I expect from kiln-dried lumber?

Our kiln-dried lumber is typically dried to 10–14% moisture content, suitable for export and downstream manufacturing. Target moisture content can be specified for your application.

Payments

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept bank transfers and letter of credit (LC), with terms agreed per order. Deposit and balance schedules are confirmed in the sales contract before production begins.

Is my payment protected?

We work on contract terms that protect both parties — typically a deposit to confirm the order and the balance against shipping documents. For larger values, letter-of-credit arrangements provide bank-backed security.
